Normandie Seaside Cafe at West Wind Inn of Sanibel Florida welcomes Chef Carl Sfat as new Executive Chef to the resort’s on-property, open-the-the-public restaurant.

Chef Carl is known for his exemplary takes on French and Italian cuisine, and is eager to continue Normardie’s longstanding tradition as a must-visit destination. Chef Carl graduated with high honors from Schoolcraft College in Michigan. He is a professional member in the American Culinary Federation and has been an executive chef in many different kitchens across the country. Most recently, Chef Carl served at Captiva Island Yacht Club, creating mouthwatering new dishes while accumulating quite the following.

“I love to bring my passion for food to the dishes I create,” Chef Carl says. “At Normandie, I’m going for Italian upscale, yet keeping it casual. I would love to add pizza and different pasta dishes like penne with rock shrimp in citrus cream or gnocchi with crisp pancetta to our menu.”
